A new programme called StartX has been launched by South East Technological University (SETU) that addresses the need for strengthened innovation and entrepreneurship in the south east region. Significant River works commence on Sustainable Transport Bridge
A significant milestone was reached in the progress of the Sustainable Transport Bridge this week as BAMs construction barge ‘Skerchi’ was towed into place to commence piling works for the four bridge pier foundations. The piers require construction of a cofferdam, a watertight enclosure to allow construction work below the waterline. In a change to previous years, entries are being accepted for the 2023 Waterford Business Awards from August 21st with the gala awards ceremony now taking place on November 17th. A conference focused on climate change monitoring for local coastal communities was recently held by the STREAM project (Sensor Technologies for Remote Aquatic Environmental Monitoring) in Waterford.
