Join the Waterford Treasures team as they celebrate the museums 25th anniversary with a Viking themed event – guaranteed to be a memorable night!

The event will take place in the atmospheric Medieval Museum located in the Viking Triangle.

As guests work their way through the museum, each floor will reveal new activities and experiences associated with Viking life as it was in Waterford 1000 years ago. In the dark and atmospheric wine vault, guests will meet a Viking seer, a priestess of Lýtir who will reveal the fortunes of anyone who dares to listen. While upstairs, visitors will encounter our resident Vikings who will come to life as they share their stories of voyages, discovery, and epic battles of our shared history! There will also be Viking storytelling, object handling, and more surprises throughout the evening.

As part of the event guests can indulge in authentic Viking foods and drinks in the 13th century Choristers' Hall where guests will get the chance to taste mead, salt cod and more.

We encourage you to wear your finest Viking attire for this unforgettable celebration!
