In our 89th of existence, Waterford Dramatic Society presents My Brilliant Divorce by Geraldine Aron.
Fresh from our triple success at the recent News and Star Green Room Awards, Denise Quinn (Best Actress, Amateur Drama), will star as Angela in Ms. Aron’s poignant and hilarious comedy from Thursday 18th to Saturday 20th April 2024 in Garter Lane Theatre.
Recently separated, Angela navigates the choppy waters of her new, unexpected and unwanted state without husband Max. Our heroine tells her funny, sad and ultimately uplifting and triumphant story, voicing a variety of characters whom she encounters en route. Can we guess how her story will turn out……?
Frieda Ryan (Best Director, Amateur Drama) is thrilled to direct again in this play by one of her favourite Irish playwrights. She says “This couldn’t be more of a contrast to last October’s award winning The Importance of Being Earnest (Best Amateur Drama) It is also very different challenge for me as director but especially for Denise who holds the stage solo…mostly.
