TWO WEEKS TO GO
Inside the ADHD in Business Programme
The Edge of Different Minds
Thursday 19 November 2026 | Ardmore Suite, Tower Hotel, Waterford | 9:00am to 5:30pm
With two weeks to go, here is what delegates can expect at the ADHD in Business Conference 2026, supported by Waterford Chamber as one of our Gold Sponsors. It is Ireland's first full-day, in-person conference on ADHD in the workplace and business.
ADHD at work: the full picture
ADHD shows up differently in every person, and it brings both strengths and challenges to the workplace. Many people with ADHD describe:
Strengths
- Hyperfocus on work that genuinely interests them
- Creative, fast, big-picture thinking
- Energy and clear heads in a crisis
- A strong appetite for new ideas and challenges
Challenges
- Time management and estimating how long tasks take
- Starting, switching between and finishing routine tasks
- Long meetings, open-plan noise and constant interruptions
- Holding several instructions in mind at once
The right systems, leadership and environment make the difference between the two. That is what this conference is about.
Did you know?
- ADHD is not only about hyperactivity. Many adults have the mainly inattentive type, which is easy to miss, particularly in women.
- ADHD is one of the most heritable conditions. Twin studies estimate that around 70 to 80% of the variation is genetic, so it often runs in families.
- Many adults are diagnosed later in life, often after a child is diagnosed or when work pressure increases.
- ADHD and entrepreneurship are linked. Research led by Professor Johan Wiklund found that ADHD traits such as sensation seeking and acting quickly are associated with starting a business.
- Many people stay quiet at work. In a 2024 US survey for Understood.org, 59% of neurodivergent workers said they worried disclosing would hurt them at work, and 60% did not know what accommodations they were entitled to.
A full day of practical learning
- Keynotes from founders, strategists and business leaders
- A masterclass with tools you can use straight away
- An interactive workshop
- Three panels: entrepreneurship, advocacy and putting it to work
- Networking, lunch and a gift bag for the first 100 delegates
