Tosú is marking 25 years since their first programme with the launch of a brand new identity.
Formerly known as IASIO, they are now known as Tosú which means ‘beginning’ in Irish and they are expanding their work with people in prison and in the community as they strive to build new beginnings alongside their clients.
This new phase of Tosú’s work in prisons and in the community marks a fresh chapter for the organisation as they set about expanding their services and deepening their knowledge of the challenges faced by clients as they strive to break the cycle of offending.
You can find Tosú’s clients working in cafes and construction sites, in offices and setting up their own business around the country. Tosú teams support them and employers to build meaningful relationships. Tosú provides support for their clients in working on their CVs, accessing training and putting in place the supports so they can enter employment. They organise events where employers can meet with Tosú clients to talk through job options.
Tosú teams work closely with the Irish Prison Service and the Probation Service, and in line with the Department of Justice’s ambitious employment strategy Building Pathways Together.
