In association with National Mental Health Day on October 10th the Tower Hotel & Leisure Centre held a fundraiser in aid of local charity, The Waterford Marine & Search Rescue.

The day started with a coffee morning in Pier 37 Bar & Grill which was attended by a host of local people and hotel residents alike. Guests were treated to a tasty array of treats prepared by Head Chef Joe O’Doherty and his team. This was followed by a mental health workshop hosted by John Kinsella a member of the Leisure Centre team and covered topics such as diet, exercise, mental health, stress and nutrition and provided lots of valuable information and advice to the staff and management team at the hotel.

The event culminated in a staff cycle in the hotel lobby where team members undertook a cycle from 12pm to 2pm to raise funds for a great cause.

The hotel raised €500.00 for The Waterford Marine Search Rescue a local charity that does great work for the people of the city and a cheque was presented to Darryl Barry from the Waterford Marine Search .
