On Wednesday 22nd January from 12noon to 1pm Walton Institute in South East Technological University (SETU) will be hosting a valuable webinar for industry outlining the many funding opportunities available for businesses in Ireland.
Many organisations are not aware of the different funding opportunities on offer to support innovative ideas. The team at Walton Institute are streamlining this information by presenting 30 funding mechanisms to help companies in their digital transformation journey. Kevin Doolin, Executive Director of Walton Institute, SETU, explains how Walton can support companies in accessing this funding: “Our team has worked with industry for almost 30 years. It looks complex, but we understand how the funding streams operate. We can help you to understand them and more importantly, advise and assist you in accessing available funding, giving you the digitalisation tools to stay ahead of the competition and disrupt the marketplace.”
During this free, one-hour, informative webinar Walton Institute’s team of experts will provide an understanding of the Institute’s applied and basic research, how they can support your ICT innovation, and explain the Institute’s role in key initiatives such as the Enterprise Ireland Technology Gateway network and European Digital Innovation Hub (EDIH) network – initiatives designed to support organisations active in digitalisation. A high-level overview of funding mechanisms available to companies across Ireland will also be outlined including the various opportunities within Enterprise Ireland, European Union, Local Enterprise Offices (LEO), European Digital Innovation Hub (EDIH), Disruptive Technology Innovation Fund (DTIF) and more.
According to Liam Fitzgerald, ICS Technology Gateway Manager at Walton Institute, collaboration is key. “Whether you want to assess your AI strategy, integrate immersive technologies or to optimise data, our team of researchers can work with you. We collaborate with market leaders to solve real and pressing problems offering industry access to a wide range of research, connections to top talent, and flexibility. We'll take a holistic approach to identifying your needs and help streamline your experience of your innovation journey.”
Hazel Peavoy, Strategic Business Partner, and ENTIRE European Digital Innovation Hub (EDIH) project lead at Walton, echoes Kevin and Liam’s thoughts: “ENTIRE marries innovation experts in digital technologies with SMEs and public organisations. This creates a collaborative relationship enabling greater competitiveness and efficiency in their business/production processes, products or services.”
This is the first in a series of webinars hosted by Walton Institute aimed at companies seeking advice on navigating particular funding streams. Whether you are unsure which funding is right for you, are looking to get involved in European projects or are interested in maximising De Minimis state aid, this session will be sure to give you the foundations you need.
