About Us

Viking Irish drinks, producing craft ciders, liqueurs, and wines, commenced production in 2017. The business was started by David Dennison, an entrepreneur in the food and drinks business for over 35 years, and a sommelier by profession. David has represented Ireland in European and World competitions; he is the holder of Wine and Spirit Education Trust Diploma (Dip) and is a past educator for the afore mentioned organisation.

Viking Irish drinks, located in the heart of the Barony of Gaultier East Waterford, currently has 3.5 Ha of cider apple trees, with a further 2 Ha being planted in 2021. Additionally, there is a 1 Ha vineyard and 3/4 Ha for blackcurrant bushes. At the heart of the company is craft cider based on old-farm style recipes, and the cider range launched in 2019 with 3 varieties:
- Medium Dry Orchard Cuvée (New)
- Harvest Blush
- Hop-It, Ireland's first Hop flavoured cider.

Viking Irish Drinks business partners are spread across the retail sector, from SuperValu to private retail off-licences, restaurants, bars, and gastro pubs, including hotels across the South-East of Ireland, Cork, Limerick, Galway, and Dublin. Since May 2021, the company is proud to be included in the prestigious Food Academy Programme, created by Musgraves, SuperValu, and Waterford Enterprise Board. Viking Irish Drinks are also members of Food the Waterford Way and Cider Ireland, representing the craft.
