As proud supporters of Waterford Food Bank, Waterford Chamber is delighted to share their latest campaign with you in the hope that you can help. We appreciate so many of you have already signed up to the Re-Turn Deposit scheme with the Food Bank, but this is just another way you can help people living in food poverty in our community.

Waterford Food Bank is inviting businesses to collect nonperishable goods such as tinned beans, tinned vegetables, tinned fruit, pasta, pasta and rice sauces, etc., and some Christmas fare such as biscuits, candy, selection boxes.

We recommend collecting for a few weeks, and then on November 19th, Waterford Food Bank will come and collect the food drive, photograph it, and put it in the 1,000 Christmas parcels that they pack and deliver citywide at no cost to the the recipient. They will arrive in a double-decker bus provided and driven by Bus Eireann, and our goal is to... fill a bus!

It's an excellent picture opportunity for participating businesses. Waterford Food Bank will post a big thank you on The Chamber's and Bus Eireann's social media accounts, identifying all of the firms who participated.

If any company is interested in participating, please email Karen at foodbank@wap.ie their company name, Eircode, a name and contact number for the person to call on the day, and the business's closing time on November 19th.
