Join Us For A Networking Evening with The Shona Project & The Vicky Phelan Campaign & Portrait Tour

6 pm Wednesday the 9th of October at SETU Arena, Waterford

On October 8th and 10th, The Shona Project will proudly host its annual Shine Festival, where 2,500 girls will gather to celebrate International Day of the Girl and hear from an inspiring panel of female role models.

Vicky Phelan was a passionate supporter of The Shona Project, and we are dedicated to honouring her legacy. Through the Shine Festival, we aim to educate young women and girls about women's health and empower them to advocate for themselves. As part of this mission, we partner regularly with The Vicky Phelan Campaign & Portrait Tour to share Vicky's powerful story. This year, we are honoured to welcome back Davy Brennan, the owner of Vicky’s Portrait, who will share his insights with our attendees.

The Vicky Phelan Campaign & Portrait Tour is a movement for Awareness & Change.
Through the portrait, Vicky's life story is brought to life, including the major events leading up to her cancer diagnosis and her pivotal role in exposing the CervicalCheck scandal in 2018. This emotionally moving experience showcases Vicky’s immense courage in her battle against the state to protect the lives of Irish women. During a break in the festival, The Shona Project and The Vicky Phelan Campaign & Portrait Tour will host a special showcase and networking event. We warmly invite you and your team to join us. If you haven’t yet experienced Davy’s moving account of Vicky’s story, this is a wonderful opportunity to do so, reconnect with friends and colleagues, and meet the Shine Festival team and some of our speakers.
