€40,000 combined funds presented to Waterford's Solas Cancer Support Centre
It was a momentous day for Team Sanofi on Wednesday April 26 when a cheque for over €40,000 was presented to the Solas Cancer Support Centre onsite. A group of adventurous staff volunteers raised €20,000 through an abseil event at Croke Park in Dublin on Saturday last. This was generously matched by Sanofi, with a cheque for over €40,000 presented to (pictured) Tracy McDaid and Ann Marie Power from the Solas Centre by Sanofi Site Head Amy Brennan and staff volunteers including Al Penkert.
New research partnership launched between Solas and SETU
Working in partnership with the School of Health Sciences, South East Technological University (SETU), the Solas Cancer Support Centre has launched a 10-week, instructor-led dance class, based in the SETU Arena. The Solas Cancer Support Centre has set out its plans for the next five years as demand for the organisation’s services continues to grow. The Strategic Plan 2023 - 2027 has been approved by the Board of Trustees and includes goals to increase the number and diversity of clients during that time.
