Certified Online Training Course September

This 3 hour online certified learning course will take place on Thursday 30th January 2025 2-5 pm GMT. Fee €125. Early booking fee of €99 before Thursday 24th of January.

The effects of five key digital technologies on workers’ mental health and well-being are identified and discussed in a new report on three years of research by the European Agency for Safety and Health at Work.

Launched last month to mark European Safety Week, Digital Technologies at Work and Psychosocial Risks: Evidence and Implications for Occupational Safety and Health draws on more than a hundred documents, including case studies and survey results, to produce a comprehensive analysis of digital technologies in the workplace and the risks they pose to workers.

The five key areas identified are: advanced robotics and artificial intelligence (AI), smart digital systems, digital platform work, remote working technologies and AI for worker management.

The report examines how each of these digital technologies influences the presence of psychosocial risks in the workplace, such as severe time pressure, work and/or cognitive overload, poor communication, job insecurity and lack of autonomy, before going on to discuss current legislation and good practices.
