Applications are now open for The Big Pitch 2025, Propelor’s annual startup competition and the final will take place on Tuesday, 4th November at the Theatre Royal, Waterford.

This year, three finalists will be selected to take the stage, each paired with an experienced mentor to help them refine and deliver their pitch. The finalists will compete for a €7,500 cash prize, while four additional “Little Pitchers” will present their ideas in a lightning pitch and compete for The One to Watch award.

The mentoring panel brings together three exceptional business people with proven track records in building and scaling businesses:

  • Tom Brennan – Pharmaceutical entrepreneur and founder with a history of building high-impact life sciences companies including EirGen Pharma, Q1 Scientific, TriviumVet, and Shorla Oncology.
  • Barry Downes – Managing Partner at Sure Valley Ventures, founder of FeedHenry, and a leading investor in AI and emerging technologies.
  • Siobhan Oates – Chartered Accountant and CFO at Klearcom, with extensive experience supporting startups in developing investor-ready financial strategies.
For founders, this is a unique opportunity to gain insight and guidance from leaders who have been on both sides of the startup journey - building companies from the ground up and supporting others to scale.
