Waterford Chamber, in partnership with Waterford City and County Council, are hosting the South East Jobs and Skills Fair on Saturday, March 4th in City Hall Waterford from 9am to 4.30pm.
The event is free to attend and will feature stands with employers from across the region who currently have live roles.
The idea for this is based on direct feedback from our members who wanted to see such an event happening. Members see recruitment and retention as being one of their top 3 challenges of doing business in 2023.
Companies will have representatives on the day to speak to potential employees, take CVs and meet privately with interested parties. In addition, we are looking at hosting a number of workshops throughout the day, to include interview preparation, CV building and more.
We have the full support of the Department of Social Protection, who will contact their clients across the region encouraging them to come along, as well as providing advertising support across their websites and social media channels. We also have a large number of attendees already registered to come along on the day.
Waterford Local Enterprise Office have also agreed to promote the event, along with Waterford City & County Council and the other regional Local Authorities. We will also be working with our wider Chamber network in the South East and to groups such as Ireland South East, Engineering the South East and other clusters to do the same, to ensure we maximise the footfall potential.
