In this time of huge, complex, seemingly intractable problems we need to raise awareness and excite people about food that is good for people (nutrition), planet (environment), and prosperity (farmer). Beans are a simple, affordable solution to climate and health – helping shift diets towards better health and positive planetary impact. Beans are the future we are hungry for.
GIY is a founding partner with the SDG2 Advocacy Hub of a programme called Beans Is How which aims to create a shift in farming, growing and global food consumption through increasing global bean consumption.
This special event at GROW HQ, which is supported by Waterford Chamber and Waterford Chamber Skillnet, will bring together stakeholders from across our food system (changemakers, growers, farmers, teachers, chefs, retailers, policy makers, media) to explore whether we could create this shift in our bioregion and double the consumption of beans in Waterford.
