Now in its seventh year, the Waterford Chamber Regional Leaders Programme continues to go from strength to strength and this year welcomes a number of new high profile leaders, including Prof Veronica Campbell, President SETU; former Ambassador Dan Mulhall and IDA Regional Director Brian McGee, among others.

To date, the programme has seen over 500 people participate, creating a very powerful network of business leaders, who continue to engage through the alumni.

This year’s programme begins in September, bringing the business community together to develop the future leaders of the region.

Places are still available and according to Gerald Hurley, CEO Waterford Chamber, they are looking for professionals who have management potential, run their own business or are looking to advance their career to join.

“Ultimately this programme is designed by the business community for the business community. The format is simple – each participant chooses three mentors to work with over the six month period and there is one event per month, ranging from inspiring speakers to interactive workshops, both online and in person.

“We have also brought together some fantastic leaders and entrepreneurs for our panel discussion events, which will focus on leadership and personal development.

“Along with our industry partners Bausch + Lomb, Waterford Chamber Skillnet is back as our funding partner, offering 25% for this year, meaning the six month programme is a mere €262.50, which is incredible value.”

So who is the programme for? In essence, anyone in business. CEOs, CFOs, entrepreneurs, start-ups, middle and senior managers have all taken part – it’s about inspiring future leaders, sharing knowledge and information and creating a powerful business network across the region.
