ATI are holding an online Information Session for employers in Waterford and surrounding regions to learn more about this accountancy apprenticeship on Tuesday 26th August at 12pm.

Duration:1 hour

Accounting Technicians Ireland are now inviting employers to come on board and hire for the Accounting Technician Apprenticeship for September 2025 from Waterford and surrounding regions in Ireland.

It is a two year practical work based education training programme comprising of four days working with an employer and one day attending Waterford College of Further Education during academic term time. Outside of the academic term time an apprentice works five days. The structure of the apprenticeship programme ensures that the training and education delivered to apprentices are grounded for the needs of accountancy in the evolving workplace.

This apprenticeship offers employers the chance to tap into a valuable talent stream for their accountancy and finance entry roles. Apprentices are a great way of addressing any skills-shortage as college learning is directly applied to specific job requirements.

An employer can also consider if they would like an existing staff member to upskill and attain a professional qualification with completing this programme.

Apprentices are paid a salary of €26,325 each by the employer. Employers can avail of an employer grant of €2,000 per year for each new apprentice hired.

Join employers in industry, practice and the public sector on this innovative programme that is changing the accountancy education model!
