Applications are now being sought for the Waterford Business Awards, which are organized by Waterford Chamber, in collaboration with Dungarvan & West Waterford Chamber, with support from Waterford City & County Council and WLR.
The awards are open to any business in Waterford and with 13 categories, there is something for everyone.
According to Paul Nolan, Waterford Chamber President, “Thanks to the much appreciated feedback from our membership, we are delighted to announce a number of new categories and a change of date from our traditional spring slot to November 17th.
“Whether you are a start-up or multi-national, the awards cater for all businesses, and this year we have some new categories included to expand the offering, including Best in Retail, Marketing Campaign of the Year and Excellence is ESG.
“We are encouraging all businesses to take the time to reflect on their achievements this year and complete the online application form. From there our esteemed panel of independent judges will select a shortlist and we will celebrate with our best and brightest at our gala awards ceremony on November 17th in the Tower Hotel.”
Oren Byrne, President, Dungarvan & West Waterford Chamber said: “The awards are a great opportunity to review your activity for the past year and acknowledge the successes along the way, while the awards night itself is a fantastic coming together of businesses in the city and county to network and do business. We have had wonderful winners from the west in recent years years, including two Overall Waterford Business of the Year awards for TQS Integration and last year for Haleon, so we want to see that success continue into this year.”
Managing Director of WLR, Des Whelan added: “We are looking forward to meeting and showcasing many of our outstanding businesses over the airwaves in the lead up to the awards night. I think it’s more important than ever to recognize excellence in local business and industry and the awards are a very positive spotlight on the innovation and entrepreneurship we have in the City and County”.

The closing date for nominations and applications for the Waterford Business Awards is Friday, September 15th and the awards ceremony will take place in the Tower Hotel on Friday, November 17th.
