Tramore Cadaujac Town Twinning are delighted to welcome the Mayor of Cadaujac Francis Gazeau, his wife Isabelle and friends to walk in the Tramore St. Patrick’s Day Parade.
Tramore Cadaujac Town Twinning was established in 2010, following an agreement to twin between the then Tramore Town Council and the town of Cadaujac in the Gironde Department of France. To date this is the only formal twinning between Tramore and another town. Cadaujac is located in the south-west of France just 10km outside beautiful Bordeaux.
Since 2010 formal visits have been organised between Tramore and Cadeujac and a visit is organised for the Spraoi weekend when a group is expected to visit Tramore from Cadaujac. The normal pattern of reciprocal visits is alternative years and Richie McDonald who is the current Chair of the Twinning group will lead the visit in 2024.
Tramore Parade starts at 1.30pm on Friday 17th March, MC will be Executive Librarian Tracy McEneaney and leading the parade is the Tramore and Waterford ARCH Club. The ARCH Club meet every Thursday in Tramore Community Centre and is a social club for all ages with additional needs. Johnny O’Grady, Parade Organiser said he is delighted the ARCH Club are leading the parade and getting the recognition it deserves as this club helps a lot of people in our community.

From here it will proceed across the Summerhill Junction onto the Old Waterford Road (R682) It will continue along this road until it reaches the Racecourse Roundabout where it will take a right down the hill.
