Two of Waterford’s leading business support agencies, Waterford Chamber and Waterford Local Enterprise Office, have come together to encourage companies to buy and sell locally at their upcoming Meet the Buyer event.

Taking place online from June 14 - 16, companies looking to procure or sell are invited to register for free via the Local Enterprise website and is a must for any business looking to network and generate sales leads or taking the hassle out of searching for new suppliers.

According to Richie Walsh, Head of Waterford Local Enterprise Office, “It is wonderful to see our economy opening back up again and this event will allow businesses to get back to the basics of buying and selling. Networking opportunities have been few and far between in recent months and this is the perfect opportunity to get in front of people who have a genuine interest in supporting local.

“For the buyers, it should be viewed as a time saving exercise, coupled with the opportunity to explore the market. Any buyer who is looking to procure a product or service is welcome to sign up and we will offer every assistance to find the appropriate matches for you.”

Gerald Hurley, CEO Waterford Chamber added: “We have run a Meet the Buyer offering over the past number of years as part of Toys4Enginners and there is no denying serious business can be done. We have been made aware of a number of contracts which have resulted from these meetings.

“We are delighted to be partnering once again with Waterford Local Enterprise Office to support our business community and with everybody working together and supporting local, we will bounce back from the pandemic as quickly as possible.”

Meet the Buyer is It is completely free to take part and already confirmed as buyers, with more being added each day, are Waterford Council, Dawn Meats, Faithlegg, Quishs SuperValu, Caulfield’s SuperValu, Waterford & Tramore Racecourse, Waterford Chamber, ArcLab and Artesyn BioSolutions.
