The Waterford business community came together en masse for the annual Waterford Chamber Business Expo, sponsored by Waterford Local Enterprise Office.
From startups to multinationals, all sectors of business were represented during the three hour event, which saw new contacts being made, deals done and long overdue catch ups with peers.
There were hampers to be won, delicious coffee and snacks on offer and goody bags galore, making for very happy guests, while Andy Max get the entertainment alive, broadcasting live for WLR.
According to Kevin Doolin, Vice President of Waterford Chamber, “The Business Expo has always been a firm favourite on our events calendar and of course it couldn’t happen without the support of Waterford Local Enterprise Office.”
“We have all been talking about what a bright future Waterford has, with the North Quays, SETU, the Greenway coming into the City and much more”, he said. “But at the heart of our city lies a vibrant business community and the positivity at the Expo reflects that.”
He also went on to reveal, “We have a change coming to the Waterford Gift Voucher Initiative, as we are transitioning from paper based vouchers to credit card style in the coming months. This will allow much more flexibility of use for all and we see it as a huge step forward in the initiative, which has continued to grow thanks to your support.”
He also appealed to all businesses to use this initiative, to support other businesses, and to consider the vouchers as you plan summer bonuses, birthday gifts or staff rewards.
“Waterford City & County Council has launched a new brand for Waterford called Think Waterford First. This is what we must all do. By thinking of Waterford first, we will drive business expansion, drive investment, drive population growth and drive economic development.
“So if you leave here today with any message – be it this – we are a team…a team who will Think Waterford First and Drive Waterford forward”, he concluded.
