Waterford’s Red Hat have again shown incredible generosity and support for the local business community by committing €12,000 worth of Waterford Shop Local Gift Vouchers to an on air competition being run by WLRfm and BEAT 102 103.

“The 12 Red Hats of Christmas” will run from December 1st across both stations with €1,000 in Waterford Shop Local Gift Vouchers being divided between the stations each day for 12 days.

According to James Mernin of Red Hat, “Red Hat is founded on the principle that open communities are made better when everyone can contribute, so we are immensely proud to be able to translate this into supporting the wider business community in this way, while bringing a little festive cheer to the wonderful people of Waterford."

Thanking James and the team at Red Hat, Gerald Hurley, CEO Waterford Chamber said: “running this competition for a second year is extraordinarily generous of Red Hat. We know they are proud supporters of Waterford and by also collaborating with WLRfm and Beat 102-103 it will allow shoppers from across the region to experience our city at this wonderful time of the year, as well as the local community through WLRfm’s involvement.

“The vouchers will go a long way towards supporting the local businesses who have been hit hard over the past year and a half and we thank Red Hat for their support.”
