Job Overview:
The position of Marketing Assistant is a key position in establishing a nation-wide framework for the on-going applied and commercial research at Walton Institute. The role will support the Marketing team to develop content to disseminate research in an impactful manner.
Key Responsibilities/ Duties: 
  • Supporting dissemination activities in European projects as required. This includes events, social media, PR and developing web stories. 
  • Supporting project partners and the marketing team in the creation and management of social media channels—writing, editing, and scheduling posts, proposing content, and interacting on posts to boost engagement.
  • Writing and reviewing content for websites, social media pages and public communications.
  • Measuring and monitoring company website and social media traffic statistics.
  • Create and execute multi-channel social media content tactics that build brand awareness and increase engagement.
  • Monitor the increase in traffic due to new content and take actions accordingly to improve the traffic metrics.
  • Brainstorming and suggesting new ways to improve web traffic by tapping into new platforms and channels.
  • Capture and edit video content for publication across the Institute’s social media channels and website. 
  • Collaborate with researchers to develop top-quality, engaging content that supports the brand’s voice and vision.
  • Monitor current trends and best practices to identify opportunities for innovation and formulate recommendations for captivating content.
  • Work alongside web developers to maintain the Walton website, update contact, highlight improvements to the user journey.
  • Contribute to marketing strategy development within Walton, European projects and the Technology Gateway —compiling, analyzing, and reporting on campaign performance.
  • Monitoring online publications for tracking communications related to the brand of the Institute and engaging with research divisions to drive internal news stories and external press releases. 
  • Conducting research on the key SEO terms and incorporating them into the content to achieve maximum viewership.
  • Support the delivery of press releases for projects, events, infrastructure, and research. 
  • Ensure consistency, accuracy and quality of internal and external communications and sales collateral produced for each research thematic area. 
  • Assisting in the coordination of internal and external events, including logistics, administration and co-ordination for all Walton Institute related activities, such as seminars and conferences.
  • Help capture customer/partner insights through conducting market research. 
  • Working internally with staff and their customers in developing case studies, use cases and testimonials.
  • Assist the business development team in identifying opportunities to secure funding for the group in relation to but not limited to innovation vouchers, innovation partnerships etc.
  • Carry out other such duties as determined and directed by the Marketing Manager and the Director(s) of Walton Institute that contribute to the achievement of the strategic initiatives of the organisation.
The Gross Salary applicable to this post is: €30,087 - €35,163 (depending on qualifications and experience)
